Again I will apologize if I have offended you. I do not agree with your veiws on the topic, but I wish you no ill will.
Great idea! Let them budget/spend on their own military (and fight their own wars without us) so that we can cut down our military budget and presence.
I like all religions, all religious people because they are at their core dreamers and visionaries. Even the fart blossoms of a faith, deep inside of them have something magical. They believe that there is a world beyond this one. That's visionary. Not that I want to be an ISIS captive or the wife of David Koresh, but in general I find religious people so much easier to get along with.
Got a foot doctor appt at 3:00 so I'm running out of time. Hope you are doing well too, Fred. :)
Try explaining 1800 years of Christian monasteries based on Freudian unconscious assumptions. That d*mn relating to the God of Jesus just keeps bringing up prayerful behavior and reform issues that are part of the 3000 plus years of prophets and visionaries in relation to God with coherence, consistency, persistence, individual variety, and cumulative effects. What?s nonsensical is your need for functional literacy in the subject matter, along with appropriate experiential learning.
It had nothing to do with Canada. Canada didn't even exist as a country for another half a century. Good grief.
also commonsense, a characteristic even rarer.
And they probably have a larger share of undocumented workers at their US facilities than most.
Red Lobster: promoting sin and abomination since 1968.
In other words, you have no idea.
A dishonest conflation of belief with knowledge.
That's a good point. I didn't realize he was STILL actively doing mess to women, smh.
It's not like that at all. You're still rolling all of their claims into this.
Let?s tslk about destroying churches. Our church had a huge increase in insurance coverage a few years back and it continues. We knew our building had not changed so we inquired. The insurance company told us there was an ongoing rash of church fires. But again we hadn?t heard of any locally. Well Church insurance is rated nationally, not by state. And there has been a lot of suspicious church fires, mostly small rural frame churches in the South owned by Black congregations. Sounds like the Jihadis are striking here, right?
Well aside from the fundamental problem that I lack a belief in any God, I could be a pretty good Christian universalist. I hold belief/non-belief in God to be largely a matter of disposition, and not a matter of who is right and who is wrong. Not entirely unlike sexual orientation (though also not entirely the same). I don't think I'd be a very successful gay person, and I was surely not a very successful Christian. So I'd rather remain a friend from across the aisle. But thanks for the invitation!
You did though. You posted your opinion that there was a first man and woman. An unsubstantiated claim.
ROFL! Dang it, why didn't I think to do that?!
When you have virtually unlimited resources such as the royals have as many as you want. It?s not like you have to see them or spend time with them or anything.
Does she visit your sanctuary city, fake patriot?
someone needs to do the job ;)
That could be a scarring experience....The heat, the facial expressions...the fumes.....
I'm following at your heels and I say yes, it was all a dream because there is only RIGHT NOW. What is a dream? It's mental images. What is the past? It's mental images. That includes one second ago. You see? The continuity of our life and the universe is just mental images, thoughts. NOW isn't a thought. It's the constant platform from which we witness the passing of time which is just the changing of scenery inside and out. The NOW is what they call "eternity".
How obviously? More than any of the Romans mentioned in many histories? More than the leaders and well known figures of the known world also mentioned in multiple histories and other artifacts?
Keep opinion out of critical thinking . It gums up the brain gears
This is what happens when the Manchurian candidate wins the election.
Further to my last post, let me add: when these changes do, eventually happen, note that to facilitate compatibility with the old texts one needs must create some cunning eisegesis. There are well-funded factories of eisegesis in the theologians and the doctors of divinity; their raw product is dressed by an army of apologists and served to the masses. Debate happens, generations pass, and the story that is "how Christians see the Bible" changes glacially. Also, note, this observation is DIRECT evidence that there is no magic goodness coming FROM the texts but, rather, lies (beautifully crafted, elegant, superficially plausible lies that relators do not recognise as lies) being fed into sanitizing the nonsensical bullshit that, at very best, represents the pinnacle of Bronze Age philosophy. And, not to put too fine a point on it, when one takes a step back and observes the process over time, who in their right mind would tolerate the "this is what I THINK God meant to say" bullshit that has been going on for centuries, nay, millennia?
I prefer to think of Genesis as a parable, a story that may not be literally true but teaches truth none the less.
