Until we know that all concepts exist in reality, there is no reason to assert they do.
Wikipedia. Not acceptable. So, you fail again.
Yes you tell him. Let Jake decide his own reaction how he feels to a business associate behaving this way to his girlfriend, but more importantly so Jake can be alert and on his guard. Even if you never see this jerk again, female co-workers of your boyfriend might have to, and he needs to be alert to assist them in being safe from this guy and/or warn them as well. Karma does not handle anything.
Is one no longer 'useful' to the world if they feel they have nothing left to learn? I wouldn't want to have to argue that before a panel. However, I was speaking existentially not practically. The goal of knowledge is to come to the end of the quest for knowledge. The goal of the knowledge-seeker is satisfaction, peace of mind. Not usefulness.
Again, what are you talking about?
Both those claims come from Acts, which was written almost a full century after Paul's death. "Stephen" is probably a character made up by the author of Luke-Acts. His name, Stephanos, is Greek for "crown" and is thus a pun on the idea of the "crown of martyrdom."
Here's what I said 4 days ago. It was bang on.
Augustine of Hippo is the root cause of much that is wrong with Christianity, see his thoughts on Original Sin for example. (From Wikipedia)
WHAT?!!! Jim Jones in name only, Bruce Lee perhaps, but the rest definitely were not.
Are you dead? and I am a theist and I was in the military so does that mean I care?
Not necessarily true. Where you have multiple gods, each god has it's own purpose, like making the sun rise in the morning. Not all god concepts are actually omnipotent or omniscient. Some don't care about us, they just create and left to create something else. Some are controlling, some are judgmental, others are not. Many different concepts of deities.
We have to simplify it for you special needs trumptards. ;)
Employer pays 6.2 as well.
So because someone chose to sin thousands of years ago, it makes me a sinner. That is not logical.
You are not entitled to anything. The Supreme Court has already ruled on this.
