Truth is a "name", actually, His Name, not a 'concept'.
"You are the one who claims the words of Jesus and then says that the words cannot be verified"
The thing is you tend to use the term very differently from how you define it. That's where the issue is.
You can't study God so you don't know if he is necessary or not. You see if you say he isn't necessary then you have to have science show there is no God and omit him from the data.
why? dems created the trend we're now seeing. we're happy as long as it doesnt get destroyed by short-sighted policy.
Not a murderer
Husband of my oldest sister. He was... Not nice. She was my guardian angel. Long story.
it came out of his mouth!!! God is a Spirit , there is the There is God, his Word, and His Holy Spirit!! The Holy Spirit is his breath, and that breath is eternal...Why? and how? because God is completely free of false ideas and false images...God is Holy !!! free of ever falsehood..
This from a discussion on Sam Harris' podcast with the psychologist Paul Bloom (author of the book Against Empathy) about empathy:
That rules out atheists but then again they are only about 2.5% of the world population so doesn?t rule out many
Looks great. How do I get there?
They sure are
Apollonius of Tyanna lived 2BCE-97CE? and, indeed, he is credited with many of the same type of miracles as Jesus is. His biography was written by Philostratus the Elder, in 220CE commissioned by the Empress Julia, and was thought to have been finished after her death. This biography is actually more reliable than are the gospels because he tells us who he is, why he is writing it, and who his sources were, why they were reliable, and there is none of that with the gospels. Philostratus goes so far as to say why he doesn't give much credence to one of his sources, which are no longer extant, but all of the reference are mentioned by Eusebius of Caesarea
Looks like that method is working for him if it's been 7 years :/
Good one. It also has a supreme piece of irony: the author of that work was a social security beneficiary.
When your worst problem is Buddhism, you know you really have no problems in the world.
Yes, minimally so. Haha.
Ah. Sorry. I meant "When one's religion...."
thanks Tom. you're correct, property taxes are not a federal issue. it was my understanding it came down to state legislative level that exempts the churches, whereas all 50 states have those laws. In any case, while it may seem like there is some overlap, church property tax exemption and minister housing exemption are two totally different things, but still within the same realm so i'll indulge a bit.
