It's not my place to "let" my grown-ass SO do something or not do something. If she's my SO, then I trust her judgment and know she will keep herself safe. Also I would trust her provided she hadn't given me any reason not to, to that point. So, I might ask her to let me know when she gets there and leaves so I know she's safe, but aside from that, no worries.
I believe the argument was that such a dour outlook is a natural consequence of not believing in a god (or probably more importantly an afterlife).

Seeing as all you can do is shout names .. I am quite a few steps above you .
Bacchus. I do not know what those verses mean. As I read it:
I was a Catholic for just about that long, Irish Catholic family, 12 years of catholic education including a prestigious Jesuit prep school, did the whole bit, married in the church, had my kids baptized, and I don't believe a word of it, or of any other religion. I have an older sister who actually does not believe, but won't admit it, and still acts like a catholic, a brother who just doesn't give a shit, and a younger sister, who, like me, believes none of it.
If life was a rule book, rather than a road of discovery, would you feel differently?
I am conflating them because a moral that is not acted upon is meaningless. If one claims to hold a moral opinion, the only true evidence of this opinion is action, not thoughts but acts. An opinion is literally an immaterial abstraction, a thought, until acted upon. Then it manifests in the material world.
Please send money and try to comfort the families of your victims.
That is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
Again, perception precedes response (thoughts). NAMING it as beautiful is an evaluation. Witnessing the beauty is not. But what is the point of this? I forgot.
If he is like other personal injury attorneys, then no one.
The fact that environmentalism, and the 'global warming' and 'climate change' hypes are trends of yesterday. They're not issues that should be of concern because they are not a threat and never have been.
