Mind your own business in your own province. Why did your liberals get kicked into their collective ass that hard, ya think? Because we had 15 sad years here. 15 long years of corruption, bribery, thievery, nepotism, mismanagement. That was sad indeed.
A subjective truth is an opinion. Do opinions have utility? I say "yes". Opinions give us something we can sink our teeth into and talk about when we're at the bar with a pitcher in front of us. Or when we're high on pot but not too high that we prefer to not speak and get silently lost in the Doors playing "Light my Fire.".
You have no evidence that it?s the word of any god.
It wouldn't have mattered. Empires grow, flourish, decay and fall, especially ones built primarily on military conquest. The Catholic Church maintained a near monopoly on literacy, but that could have been any institutionalized religion anywhere.
"revealing the sun, moon"
It is OK for a christian woman if her life is "broken".
Because it is.
The answer is fairly simple: Is the gym / class coed? If so, then men have every right to be there, and if they find it uncomfortable, they can seek out an all women's gym- there are plenty out there. After decades of fighting to put men and women on roughly equal ground, It's remarkably ironic to see some of the same people actively encouraging an environment of segregation.
Let's hear it for Martini Day! Hoot Hoot Hoot
You are just making it worse by stating things I never said.
Well when I got married my wife and I made the first cut then everybody else cut their own
Rose, thank you for your kind words. Buddhists differ on their personal view of the world - some are optimistic, others pessimistic. I think, however, that most of them adhere to a principle that we've seen worded like, "World change, like charity, 'begins at home' ", "Regime change starts here", and the old Gospel injunction to remove the log from one's own eye before trying to remove the speck from another's. My guess is that world change ought to begin in the individual. Again, a quote, this time from Gandhi, "Be the change you want to see in the world". I suppose that would start with one of the most difficult things imaginable - love and forgiveness toward enemies. If we can do that on a limited individual level, we might be able to extend it to the global level. Maybe "Buddhistic" values could hit a critical mass and the world would undergo positive change once it hits that tipping point. That's my best guess. I don't know if it really has any effective practical application. Time will tell...
I have a hard time believing you drew that because it?s too lovely lol
Your false teacher told you that Jesus did not have prior permission to have the donkey. You should not believe false teachers.
Gillette, like many anti-gay conservatives does not understand the ruling. She and they, think they ruled he could refuse service, which as you pointed out was the very thing they refused to rule one.
The most die-hard fundamentalists I know would not disagree with the statement that Paul made Christianity what it is. The question is, what raw materials was he working with? Tabor's quote acknowledges a historical Jesus, and in fact, Tabor believes he has found the tomb of Jesus.
