Why's He an idiot, in your opinion?
It's an equal improbability for those as for any of the other millions of gods, goddesses and god-men - including the originally Canaanite god Yahweh and the 3,000,000 deities said to inhabit the "sacred" cows of India.
Thank you, how are you doing?
Well aside from the fundamental problem that I lack a belief in any God, I could be a pretty good Christian universalist. I hold belief/non-belief in God to be largely a matter of disposition, and not a matter of who is right and who is wrong. Not entirely unlike sexual orientation (though also not entirely the same). I don't think I'd be a very successful gay person, and I was surely not a very successful Christian. So I'd rather remain a friend from across the aisle. But thanks for the invitation!
Don'y you think that anyone who reads all of your comments here will come to the conclusion that you are not really concerned with a belief on a god so much as trying to convince people that evolution is a lie? Do you really even care if a god exists?
Right?!!! Sounds like it tastes awesome too - they have about 7 different types of liquor in the recipe but I'm hoping we'll cope with 5 :)
That depends on your answer to the question.
Of course. But you leave out justification. It didn't have to follow as it did. Gods plan was to teach the man how to choose between good and evil, on His time, in fellowship. It happened that man failed to follow through where he could have. Its honoring God, but its also essential in a true partnership. God was left hanging, in betrayal there. God though, gets His quality relationship...it just happens this way. Justification answers your question. Onmi chooses it to be a choice, following through either way because of justification. We deserve to go to hell, separated from holiness, but God steps in Himself to fix our mess. God gets it His way, but we get it all too.
Major points are usually not the issue. There are some deal breakers, true. Where there is major disagreement on major points then you have to start defining your terms. At that time it?s usually clear to those who disagree that they are not talking about the same religion at all. Who has the high ground? The one who more closely follows what scripture actually says. Not what we want to make it say.
for seven years
I?m fine with you thinking so.
The problem is when the book is quoted to oppose/change/approve/ban a law. In that case, the contents of the books need to be read and rethought, because they affect those who do not believe in or didn't even read them.
Not the point, Forrest. Trump's an asshole, but he's a damn effective leader and president, and either way he doesn't need me taking up for him and protecting him from some anonymous schmuck on the internet. I'm talking about the cookie-cutter bandwagon behavior.
Go ahead and take the lead in world affairs. Leave us out of it.
I don't for a minute follow that biblical god. Then again, I also don't go with the idea that we have a spirit that outlives us. My god is strictly a creation god. He created all and then left to create something else. No worshiping, no deification, no control, no nothing. Everything made to be self sustaining. Really simple, the way I like it.
Honestly, the kid looked like he was playing along -- his eyes were open when she was tapping him in the face. Your examples are bad in this instance. If someone gets a boner -- the boner itself is the involuntary action. His body reacted, and that was the result. You have to actively choose to do something with the boner. When you are tired -- that's the stimulant -- you go to sleep or doze, that's the involuntary reaction. If something is sad to you, and you feel yourself about to cry -- which is also an involuntary reaction to whatever the stimulant -- you can excuse yourself from the meeting. I still maintain that dozing off is involuntary -- we can stem it off as much as we want, but you will succumb as you need sleep to function properly. Do I think you should attempt to try and withhold from falling asleep at meetings? Sure, but everyone has different internal clocks and different reactions. I'm not sure how one student sleeping is unfair to the other student. Mind your business -- as long as the sleeping is not affecting you and you're getting good grades, who cares? Also it's not a matter of "letting" the kids doze in class, that's my point. Dozing is something that just happens. If kids are constantly dozing in class when their intent isn't to fall asleep, then the problem is probably you and your lesson plan [not you, but the general you]. You have to work to stimulate students.
if they had only called me back after i contact the 2nd company I would have warned them over the phone to not bother showing up
When I die I'll be Saint Tainley, patron saint of theists and IP infringers.
Whatever, you do you. Just don't praise Hitler In the UK, that's a Crown offense these days. Even for dogs.
A suck-up to minorities? Meh, I'll take it. I'll also take legislation that is a suck-up to married folks, folks who are still in school, and folks who are saving for retirement. I'll support any legislation that is a suck-up to wildlife living in watersheds as well, even if it only indirectly benefits me.
"How do you know he needs worship?"
They hate anyone who is not exactly like them, politically, spiritually, economically, etc etc
Something a lot closer to Putin to remind him that consequences can hit very close to home. Something so when hes gloating about how well his plans are going he gets a little uneasy stray thought about if there might be poison or a stray bullet destined for him.
I specify my statement. We have no idea of what is the reason of the observable steady increase in complexity of the biological species. The so-called "natural selection" is obvious rubbish. There are two possibilities: either this complexity increase (including abiogenesis) can be explained in terms of fundamental principles of physics, or it cannot. In the latter case it is an independent irreducible law of nature. I personally believe in the latter scenario.
As if atheists have standards in terms of being able to recognize God?s existence. They don?t, for the most part, except through their own anti-theistic premises. They have arguments, and look for endless ways to keep applying them as anti-theists. The basic argument that I have applied now for a little while anyway is I guess an ontological epistemological argument, that God is how a person and people relate to the Creator Entity of the Laws of the Universe. Atheist anti-theists are generally oriented towards mechanistic philosophy, it appears.
Lol, I've never seen Fathom mistyped as Phantom before. On a post criticizing someone else more misusing a word. You did this on purpose, right? I sincerely hope so.
To a point. Sadly what sounds like a good idea has become an agenda to promote sex change operation and identity confusion.
Actually its not the same and he is wrong. That's like saying people who support law and order are pro-death penalty. Wanting people to have a choice isn't the same as wanting people to MAKE that choice.
Keep you head up and your feet planted Nicole. You seem very nice, and deserve far better than all of this.
Agreed. However, not all wealthy people benefit from "old money". Most, at least in my experience, have worked long and hard for the wealth they have. Kudos to them!
This man is insane ... funny how they drift to ward Trump and his cult!
