No, it really doesn't. The why is really about an entirely separate part of human existence. In fact, the typical atheist worldview is eminently more logical than someone who believes in a god. Belief in the existence of an invisible all-powerful deity is, by definition, not a rational thought.
"Ok tell me what evidence would suffice to have faith (not empirically know) God exists?"
Im over here.????
Utilitarianism is more of an inspiring metaphor than a practical guide. What does greatest number mean? Does it mean greatest number of incompetents suited most for generating cultural and genetic drag, to the detriment of countless potential future generations?
It?s like a very basic one page contract where you write stuff in. I don?t think you should entirely be reliant on a contract when you?re doing business with someone. I mean you should make sure the business owner goes over it with you so that you understand it.
Ooooh ouch ! LOL.
It's obvious to me. People love their God concept but they have collectively outgrown the exotic fictions of the church. Buddhism is becoming very popular these days as is vedanta.
Semantics can be tough sometimes.
I love where your head is at, Madame!
Soooo. ignorant homophobic cultist maggots get a free pass to discriminate against people for their inherent differences.
So why is that you never claim these black parents are grossly incompetent when their children are out killing, dealing dope, getting pregnancy, stealing and robbing people all hours of the day and night?
The federal and state government has forced everyone to buy a license for everything--this is their out to telling you how to run a business. Don't like it, deny you the license. In my town you even need a license to be a free lance anything in your own home. 16 year olds have to have a license now to babysit.
Not talking about IQ points from this point on won't make you intelligent.
So you crave the love bombing but detest the tearing down and abuse, like any co-dependent.
Or, to put it differently: Christians, how's that theism working out?
I might put Dennis Leary in that role, but then again, he's no Carlin
Yep, which brings us back to subjectivity
No... the theme that specifically comes up is Christianity did damage historically.
Well, I personally get a lot of value out of the teachings, separate from the requirement of having to believe that anyone who doesn't follow the instructions exactly regarding accepting Jesus as his savior is doomed to Hell for all eternity. :)
For over a decade, I worked for the company that manufactured the SCOT (Self-CheckOut Terminal) that HD uses and I also serviced them. I can tell you from direct knowledge that HD never put more than four SCOTs in a single store. As opposed to Walmart who used to have eight of the machines per store (From the same manufacturer) and has been increasing the number to 16-20 per store.
Cultural reasons? I think not, it is all about religious reasons, essentially, accepted by cultures as their own belief structures without acknowledgement of how it was, essentially, provided.
