If you read this article, you will understand that the 9 out of 10 issue really just means that evolution speciates so often that within 100000 years, 90% of what you see will be a new species created within that time.
There. Don't say Tex never gave y'all anything.
Setting aside that the original Hebrew (lo l??ho?w?ris) only specifies
Science uses methodological naturalism. You can call that a philosophy if you want to. When did I say I don't care about understanding the world? I said I love science which is our way to understand the universe. I gave you a scientific explanation for why life arose on this planet. You could infer from that the real purpose of life arising on this planet is to move heat.
LOL... Cisco, you were meeting people from the AOL chats? Smh.
It may have started that way but it sure didn't act like it for about 1700 years or so. There was plenty of stone-casting, especially if you ran afoul of the Witchfinder General or the Duke of Someplace-or-other, who bought himself a bishopric for a measly 100 gold pieces.
I mean if you want to dismiss a data driven analysis on one of the most scientifically advanced nations in the world, then go ahead. Bringing up random characteristics about the American government does nothing to address the contents of my argument. If you are going to somehow imply this trend in America is the oddball, then actually back up your claim. Show data where religious people give less money.
Sliding into a bad Monday.
I'm actually going to take on your questions here, even the extremely loaded question #1, because I do see two common threads between them: OP misrepresenting the way science works, and OP holding science to an unrealistic standard. Here we go:
the idea, is the malleability of heretical thinking. the emerging independence of german princes and merchant classes offered protestants in europe a safe space and allowed formerly heretical thinkers to air their beliefs. for quite some time they would be caught and executed, and Luther spent much of his life in hiding. there is no reason a similar reformation cannot happen in islam, and it is likely that it will come from these new enclaves of western islamic communities.
That is not what the cartoon is saying. Read it, study it, reflect on it.
False. But, enjoy your delusions, for you are finished.
They take turns disagreeing, and then side with the one who has a pool and stocked bar.
Honestly though, what do "Darwinists" have to do with ANY of this? There are no scientists in the credible group that can be considered "Darwinists", and if there are any that fit that mold, they are not taken seriously at all by the credible scientists. You are focusing on a group that holds no sway over the progress of science, which is why most people are just ignoring your questions.
Wish I could purchase a machine gun. a big pink one
Universe - reality
So you are ignorant of Koran and Muhammad's Sunna but make claims about this religion.
Really? You are not going to go there now are you?
True. Sometimes it seems hard to believe that we're still arguing this...
I?m not arguing for the historicity of miracles here. It?s much more believable that those events you consider fiction were attributed to an actual person than that the entire person is made up.
Well, I went back after my lunch and was telling my coworker about mine. It was a frozen dinner...Rice, chicken, red peppers, edamame, water chestnuts, & pineapple in a pineapple sauce. I picked out the edamame and water chestnuts. I have actually tried both before, and I don't like them. At least I can say I gave them a try. Anyway...We started talking about these prepackaged meals she bought in bulk. She said she ate Vietnamese pork meatballs with bok choy. I didn't even know what bok choy was. She's talked about some dish with avacado and cabbage together before, and that's just not something I'd ever in a thousand years eat together. I just feel so uncultured. : /
