You know why I don't buy the "Don't eat pork for health reasons" logic? Chicken. Chicken meat is comparatively filthy. But there's no problem with eating it under Kosher/Halal law. If you can figure out how to cook chicken and not die of food poisoning... then there's nothing wrong with pork in your diet.
Telling children they don't have to be ashamed if their parents are divorced, or if they are same sex parents is hardly 'forcing' a lifestyle. My granddaughter will probably give me my first great-grandchild. That generation will not have our hang-ups, at all. . .no doubt, they'll invent more of their own.
What I meant to type was "you were BOTH sinners..."
When specifically is the era ending?
I agree, that sounds like regret. The problem I have with the bible are not the stories, it is taking them literally.
I think they just don't care to know the truth.
Oh, by the way: I am pretty much the least judgemental person you could find where it comes to people... and I wish people were more that way... it bothers me that your religion claims to promote non-judgementalism whilst preaching that gayness is an abhorrence and that many of the good folk we share the planet with are destined, quite fairly, to an eternity of burning. Non-judgementalism my f***ing arse!
Yeah nothing at all not a thing about him is corrupt, not the lies, the cronyism (Pruitt for example), paying for sex, scam school to con people out of money, how could anyone call this guy corrupt?
An external God is an imaginary friend for adults and another boogey man for children. "In the beginning was the WORD" If he actually exists we live in a story God created to pass eternity. God is a fantasy writer! As characters in God's story we are part of god in a holographic way where each part contains the whole because the whole contains each part. Why do bad things happen to good people? It advances the plot. Why does science make new discoveries all the time? To fill in the holes in the internal logic of the story. Time? Just a way to keep the "pages" in order.
it doesnt matter to you but clearly the US justice system sees and makes a clear distinction between these type of crimes.
That statement is a non starter, I was referring to your view of Christianity or any religion that believes in a higher being. If I say God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days, you are going to say that it isn't true (a lie).
Good to Eat: Riddles of Food and Culture (1998; originally titled The Sacred Crow and the Abominable Pigs) Marvin Harris. He made some interesting postulations.
