What surprises me, and maybe you have an answer for this, is how little MtDNA variation there is in a single cell. I would have thought that, by now, there would lots and lots of MtDNA variants observable within a single cell. If mitochondria multiply by division, their DNA should be subject to mutation thereby creating variety. Yet it seems that all mitochondrial DNA within a single cell is pretty much the same.
1. No, science teachers shouldn't talk about religion in class, because that's not their field of expertise.
A lot of times online friends help through tough times more than real ones. I had some bad things going on as a kid in middle school that I didn't know how to talk about with others irl, but a friendship with a girl my age in Canada really helped me get through it. I wish we'd stayed in contact.
I said Christian, not Israelite.
Yet it doesn't actually do that, oddly.
Post on Disqus or it never happened.
I thought both of them had good and bad qualities. I preferred Finn in TFA--heck I preferred all the men but Kylo Ren in TFA. They all got incredibly stupid in a matter of weeks.
Of course, YOU are RESPONSIBLE for your education, Are you not? Many theists will agree with that point, Are you opposed to seek education? Personally I'm not.
To address only your initial concern about posting questions like this on the Religion Channel... as a non-Mod, I can say that I see the channel not as some exclusive haven for only religious believers, but for *anyone* regardless of their belief or non-belief. The whole point of the channel (AFAIK) is to discuss *religion and religious topics* -- again, with an open door policy. The only universal criteria to participate is to engage respectfully and have an interest in the topic.
What awful human beings
Nope. I am not a "fake".
I've heard this called an 'Intellectual Turing Test'. The way I heard it expressed if you actually believe something you should be able to present the arguments against it well enough that an onlooker couldn't tell you apart from a genuine believer.
Ooh, that?s some good giffing. :D
What's the back round story ? Is this all part of a an ongoing habit this "kid" has ?
Do you have any idea of what you are talking about? What do you actually KNOW about any God? There are hundreds of them in mythology and other religions. So how do you discern yours from all the others?
So, your answer is that God deliberately created a geological record in the earth that would not be consistent with His Holy Book but would be consistent with the theory of evolution because...? Because He likes to give us conflicting information as a puzzle to solve?
Wow! That was an amazing leap.
You're right, Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin.
I can?t speak for most religions. But it is not my experience in my religion.
Could you repeat your answer, please?
And also since at times we want our decisions to have deleterious effects on others.
nope, faith is needed so you don't ask questions. It's when you ask questions the lies become evident
My grandmother was, the only group had been kind to her when she came to the states from south america.
