What does it mean to live a Christian life?
I think most people glance a bit more when they're single. There's still a way you can do it without making the other person feel like they need to go home and shower. I don't think that's a double standard.
Who cares about a royal wedding, it's just another political or published event. Like the Oscars, the Emmys or any other event that is claimed to be 'news worthy'.
Yes, slavery WAS a huge part of the economy. It was a socially-accepted part of the society at the time.
Could be hundreds of different reasons. Conditions not favourable for life to develop beyond existing in current form. Due to the environment it may take longer to develop than on Earth. Life may have developed but since died out due to a cataclysmic event. List goes on.
That is always a danger whenever owners make a dog aggressive. Unfortunately they are more powerful than many other breeds.

Hey! You look like William Shatner at his best. If you can't score we're all without hope. :)
I mentioned in an earlier post that I believe God wrote three books, one by the apostles and prophets, one within nature and one within the heart of man. When these three lineup we are the closest to truth. When I approach Scripture I consider these three books. I realize that there are some "Bible teachers" that teach that the Bible says the earth is 6000 years old. This is just a doctrine of man based on faulty interpretation. The Bible makes truth claims i.e. data. That data needs to be examined just like scientists examined data and sometimes they interpret it wrong the same thing goes with philosophy. The fact that men can get things wrong doesn't discredit the data they're looking at.
One does not necessarily choose their attractions, but they can choose how they respond to those attractions. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) men who have sex with men have a higher risk of contracting aids than men who smoke have for contracting cancer. Since we have public programs geared to discouraging smoking due to the health risks it presents, why would we want to promote an activity that presents an even greater health risk than smoking?
didn't you read the OP where this exact thing was used as an example of bad arguments?
Like being an imaginary space ghost deity.
'Did you realize anti-theists are trying very hard to hold science back, particularly evolutionary science?'
I imagine some Native Americans can clarify that meme for you.
Got it. My understanding is that we as readers need to look at not just the words on the page but what kind of words they are. Revelation, for example, is apocalypic literature. Similar to other kinds of apocalyptic literature before (Daniel) and at the same time (Qumran scrolls). They use figurative language to reveal grand truths about why things are the way they are, as well as what will happen as a result. They are very much like political cartoons in that they use common images and exaggerations to prove a point. If we see an image of a fat politician with the head of a donkey, we don't assume this is some sort of genetic monster but a representation of political excess of a political party. Revelation is kinda like that. But like we don't get 19th century political cartoons because we don't know the imagery or context most of the time, we get lost in the imagery with Revelation.
